The Hype

I get asked this a lot.  “What is Digital Altitude About?” Okay, so you’ve heard all this hype about Digital Altitude and how you can make thousands of dollars a day while drinking champagne and eating bonbons on the deck of your yacht.  Yeah, well maybe if you have over $20,000 to get in at their top level you can, but who’s got that kind of money lying around?  It’s not like I sit around laying golden eggs and have loads of money just cluttering up my house.  All right.  I’m jumping ahead a bit.  Let me start from the beginning.  I did some online research and this is what I came up with.

Crazy Claims

First, I was lead to the sales page that made a ton of crazy claims like “How You Can Test-Drive My $3,000+ A Day System TODAY for Only $1.00!” Another one said I’d be able to make giant commissions while a salesperson does all the hard work for me.  The person who made the sales page even went so far as to say that he makes over $9000 per day, and approximately $174,000 per month, all with this miracle of a system that he’s going to tell me about for just a single dollar.  What he doesn’t tell you is that he probably already has tons of money and bought in at their highest level being $27,997!  Trust me.  You don’t make that kind of money at the starter level.

The Sales Page

what is the empower network aboutI checked out the sales video. It had some rough-looking dude sipping a beer at the beach claiming that he’s already made $9,000 and it’s only 1:00 p.m.  From the look of him, I’d say it was from some rather nefarious activity than from Digital Altitude.  Is that a body I see floating in the water?

What Is Digital Altitude?

I’ll get to the point.  You start off with a fourteen-day trial for $1.  It’s really just their way of getting your personal details and your vital credit card information.  The trial allows you to become a starter member where you are given access to a series of videos and a personal coach.  These videos, disguised as being “educational,” really are just there to seduce you into joining as a paying member.  The “coach” does basically the same thing.  He or she is a salesperson who gets paid if you join.  Trust me.  They won’t just settle for you joining at the bottom level. They will do everything possible to get you to buy at the Rise level which costs $1997!  They even go so far as to tell you to get a loan or borrow from friends.  Anyway, I’ll tell you more about the levels below.

Affiliates

It costs $17 a month just to be an affiliate at which point you are now at the Aspire level and given access to more videos and another “coach.”  This coach’s job is to “counsel” you as you move through the system but, as mentioned previously, their primary goal is to get more of your money by convincing you to buy at an even higher level.  If you haven’t figured it out by now… Coach = Salesperson.

There are three levels within Aspire with varying costs, commissions, and levels of training.  Basically, they drip-feed your training only allowing you access to a certain amount at a time.  Why?  If you want to know more, you have to hand over some more cash.

Aspire Walker: $37 per month

• 40% commission
• 1 tier payout
• Members Area
• Start Up Training Videos

Aspire Hiker: $67 per month

• Up to 50% Commission
• 2 Tiers of Payout
• Members Area
• Start Up Training Videos
• Weekly Training
• Monthly Conf Calls
• Additional Sales Funnels
• Client For Life Coaches
• Tools & Resources

Aspire Climber: $127 per month
Up to 60% Commission
3 Tiers of Payout
Members Area
Weekly Training
And more!

It goes without saying that the Climber level is the most advantageous.  However, a lot of people looking to make money online and who are new to affiliate marketing don’t have a lot of money to start with and simply can’t afford to hand over $144 every month just to see if they can make it work for them.  Nevertheless, you need to be at the Climber level to get the best outcome.

Now, let’s check out the products.

Products

my digital altitude coWhen I saw the “products” that you will be trying to sell, I nearly had a coronary because YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE them before you’re given the privilege of selling them and getting your full commission, that is if you close it yourself. If you need one of their salespeople to close the deal for you, your take is only 20%, 30% or 40%, depending on what your affiliate level is.

There are basically five high-ticket products that they call memberships.  I’m not going to list every bit of information or module for every membership, but you can find this information by simply going to their website and clicking on their product page. So, here are the one-time payment prices for each level: Base $597, Rise $1997, Ascent $9,997, Peak $16,997 and Apex $27,997.  Scary, isn’t it?

Is Digital Altitude a Scam?

Well, in my opinion, yes, it is a scam.  Here’s why.  Their “memberships” may be considered tangible products; however, their focus is on recruiting other people to become new members.  Affiliates only purchase these products so they can sell them to other people.  But, there’s more …

  1. Affiliates Have To Pay A Monthly Fee

Affiliate Marketing is by far the most well-known way to make money online, and tons of people do make a full-time income by promoting products by other people.  No authentic affiliate network or company who have their own affiliate program, such as Amazon, requires you to pay a fee to be an affiliate with them.

2. You’re Required to Buy the Product You Want To Promote

Only scammers trying to suck more cash out of you make their “affiliates” buy the product so they can promote it, even if they don’t have a use for it.

3. You Only Get A Commission For The Level Of Membership You’re At

Say you sign up and only have enough money for the Climber level at a cost of $127 per month plus the $17 Affiliate fee per month. You get a new member, who decides, and has the cash, to buy the “Ascend” level at a cost of $9997. Since you didn’t buy in at that level, you will not get the commission for that referral. This system makes members spend money they just don’t have.

This is how a genuine affiliate marketing programs work. If you promote a $20 product and a person gets to the merchant’s site via your link and buys a $250 product instead, you will get the commission.

support digital altitude4. If You Don’t Recruit, It’s Game Over

Let’s make it clear.  You can’t make any money unless you recruit people to become members.  And, the way it’s done is by taking advantage of desperate people.

5. Coaches = Salespeople

Once you become a member of Digital Altitude,  you are assigned a “personal coach.”  Awesome, right? Well, what they really are are salespeople with the sole intention of making money for themselves by getting you to upgrade to a higher more expensive level of membership.

6. If You Can’t Close The Deal Yourself, You Don’t Get Your Full Commission

It’s hard to recruit members especially if you’re trying to peddle high ticket items.  And, if you can’t close the deal yourself and get help from one of their salespeople, you don’t get your full commission.  Instead of say 60% commission, you only get 40% commission.  How awesome is that?

My Final Verdict

As I mentioned earlier, although Digital Altitude sells tangible products, the majority of one’s income is from recruiting new members typically desperate people with little to no income to begin with or dreamers.  In my opinion, that’s a scam.  Taking advantage of desperate people is just WRONG.

    Hey Barb!

    First of all, great review!

I could not have said it better myself. Many of the claims they make on these sales pages and videos are very misleading. Turning $1 into $3000/day and many of the other things they claim is just simply not true.

The main focus of the 14-day trial is not to test-drive, but to sell a cool $2k product to you. And then some…

DA is clearly not for the newbie starting out. There are so many issues one would have with this program.

    Thanks for pointing these out.
